"Do not fear to be eccentric in opinion, for every opinion now accepted was once eccentric.." ~ Bertrand Russell

For years I have had to hold my tongue.

A good NCO speaks his mind, but when a commander makes a decision, the NCO supports that call, unless it is unlawful.  The NCO acts as if the order or plan comes directly from him or that he fully supports the order.

At a military college, it is much the same, employees need to support policies and efforts, even when they disagree.  Speak your mind to the boss, but show a unified front to students and the public.

I have been biding my time.

I have things to say.

To start this conversation, here is my piece, from a few year's back, on Catcher in the Rye.
